Qulliq Energy Corporation (QEC) is dedicated to supporting Nunavummiut by actively engaging in community events and contributing to initiatives that strengthen relationships across the territory. As Nunavut's sole distributor of electricity, we strive to operate in a socially responsible way, fostering connections with communities, non-profit organizations through financial and in-kind contributions.
Laura Ulluriaq Gauthier Scholarship Awards
QEC’s Laura Ulluriaq Gauthier Scholarship supports two outstanding Nunavummiut pursuing post-secondary education and is awarded annually. Each $5000 scholarship honours Laura Ulluriaq Gauthier, a visionary who emphasized the importance of a locally managed electrical utility for Nunavut. One of the two scholarship awards is designated for an engineering student, supporting a career field vital to QEC's operations.
The application period for two $5000 scholarships opens each year in May and closes June 30.
