Submitted by sarsenault2 on

Qulliq Energy Corporation (QEC) would like to inform Nunavummiut that all renewable energy systems, installed on any building connected to the power grid,  require authorization from the Government of Nunavut’s Office of the Chief Electrical Inspector and QEC.

To ensure the safety of utility electrical workers and the reliable operation of the territory’s electrical systems, Nunavummiut are required to coordinate with QEC on their renewable energy installations.

Any renewable energy systems connected to the power grid without authorization from QEC and the Office of the Chief Electrical Inspector may be served with an Order to Disconnect.
