IQALUIT, Nunavut (October 25, 2018) – The Honourable Jeannie Ehaloak, Minister Responsible for Qulliq Energy Corporation (QEC), has announced three new appointments to the Corporation’s Board of Directors; Juanie Pudluk of Iqaluit, Nastania Mullin of Iqaluit, and Roxanne Reudiger of Rankin Inlet. On October 18, 2018, Cabinet approved the appointments for three-year terms.

“The new board members join QEC at an exciting time as the energy sector grows with the development of promising technologies and QEC looks to harness those technologies for the benefit of all customers,” said the Honourable Jeannie Ehaloak. “I look forward to their invaluable input and guidance as we continue to provide a safe and reliable power supply to Nunavummiut and plan for Nunavut’s energy future.”

The recent additions expand the Board of Directors to 10 members and bring the board to 50% Nunavut Inuit representation.

“It is with pleasure that I welcome Juanie, Nastania and Roxanne to our Board of Directors,” said T. Bert Rose, QEC’s board chairperson. “Their unique set of skills and knowledge of Inuit culture will complement the strengths of our current board in providing direction to the territory’s sole electrical utility.”
