Reporting to the Operations Supervisor, the Plant Superintendent is responsible for maintaining safe and continuous power generation and distribution, integrating production and maintenance requirements of all mechanical and electrical equipment under his/her jurisdiction. The position is also responsible for operating and monitoring the diesel powerhouse and associated systems to provide safe, reliable electrical service to Qulliq Energy customers in the community in a cost effective manner.

Qulliq Energy Corporation is accepting applications for the corporation’s annual Laura Ulluriaq Gauthier Scholarship.

Nunavummiut students enrolled in a post-secondary education program for the September 2018 semester are eligible to apply. The successful candidate will be chosen based on a strong academic record and outstanding community involvement.

Applications for the $5000 scholarship will be accepted until June 30, 2018.

As an Assistant Operator, you will be expected to operate and monitor the diesel powerhouse and associated systems to provide safe, reliable and cost-effective electrical service to Qulliq Energy customers in the community, and to assume an acting role as Plant Superintendent during absences or as required.
