QEC estimating monthly billing for customers in five communities

Submitted by sglaeske on

QEC will estimate monthly billing for customers in Cambridge Bay, Rankin Inlet, Baker Lake, Qikiqtarjuaq and Arviat for the December 1 to 31 billing period. Meter reads will not be conducted to protect the well-being of QEC staff and residents while the corporation continues to safely provide a critical service.

Estimated meter reads are calculated by using the previous month’s consumption. The estimate may be higher or lower than actual energy usage, but the difference will be corrected with the next manual meter read.
