Planned Power Outage in Rankin Inlet

Qulliq Energy Corporation (QEC) would like to inform the residents of Rankin Inlet that there will be planned power outages on Saturday, November 6, and Sunday, November 7, from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m. The affected areas are highlighted in yellow.

These power outages are required to safely relocate sections of the power lines and connect new infrastructure in the community.

Planned Power Outage in Kugaaruk

Qulliq Energy Corporation (QEC) would like to inform the residents of Kugaaruk that there will be planned power outages on Saturday, October 30 (Map A), and Sunday, October 31 (Map B) from 7 a.m. to noon. The affected areas are highlighted in yellow.

These outages are required to safely connect power to the new sub division, install a new backup generator, and energize streetlights.

Planned Power Outages in Whale Cove

Qulliq Energy Corporation (QEC) would like to inform the residents of Whale Cove that there will be brief community wide power outages on Saturday, October 16, and Sunday, October 17. The outages will last around 20 minutes and occur at approximately 7 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. each day.

These outages are required to safely isolate equipment to complete upgrades at the power plant.
