QEC estimating monthly billing for November cycle
QEC would like to inform customers that meter reads will not be conducted for November’s billing cycle in response to territory-wide COVID-19 restrictions. Protecting the well-being of QEC staff and Nunavut communities is a priority while the corporation continues to safely provide a critical service.
Electricity bills will be estimated in all communities with the exception of Iqaluit, which has smart meter technology. Smart meter technology sends information electronically, which eliminates the need for manual reads.
