Qulliq Energy Corporation (QEC) would like to inform the residents of Rankin Inlet that the community’s Customer Care office will be closed until further notice.

The corporation is committed to the delivery of safe and reliable electricity to all Nunavummiut while helping to limit the spread of COVID-19 in the community. QEC will continue to meet the ongoing challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Planned Power Outage in Kinngait

Qulliq Energy Corporation (QEC) would like to inform the community of Kinngait that a power outage is planned for Saturday, October 26 from 8 to 10 a.m. The affected area is highlighted in yellow on the map below.

The power outage is required to upgrade the power distribution system and connect the community’s new health center.

QEC thanks residents for their understanding and apologizes for any inconvenience this may cause.

Planned Power Outage in Cambridge Bay

Qulliq Energy Corporation (QEC) would like to inform the residents of Cambridge Bay that there will be a planned power outage on Saturday, October 24, from 7 a.m. to 12 noon. The affected area is highlighted in yellow on the map below.

This power outage is required to complete connecting the new Aurora subdivision to the distribution system.
