Reporting to the Operations Supervisor, the Plant Superintendent is responsible for maintaining safe and continuous power generation and distribution, integrating production and maintenance requirements of all mechanical and electrical equipment under his/her jurisdiction.

The position is also responsible for operating and monitoring the diesel powerhouse and associated systems to provide safe, reliable electrical service to Qulliq Energy customers in the community in a cost effective manner.

Reporting to the Director, IT, you will oversee the day-to-day operation of the IT Department, which will include managing employees, their deliverables and multiple IT projects, the corporate IT infrastructure and the internal IT knowledgebase.

The Human Resources & Organizational Development (HR & OD) Department is accountable for recruiting and hiring qualified, representative individuals into QEC while complying with the Public Service Act, regulations, Article 23 of the Nunavut Land Claims Agreement, QEC policies and procedures and customer services standards.
