Planned Power Outages in Cambridge Bay

Qulliq Energy Corporation (QEC) would like to inform the residents of Cambridge Bay that there will be planned power outages on Saturday, September 10, and Sunday, September 11, from 7 to 11 a.m. The affected area is highlighted in yellow on the map below.

These outages are required to safely replace damaged power poles and make upgrades to the distribution system to improve reliability.

QEC thanks residents for their understanding and apologizes for any inconvenience this may cause.

Planned Power Outage in Iqaluit

Qulliq Energy Corporation (QEC) would like to inform the residents of Iqaluit that there will be a planned power outage on Sunday, September 11, 8 a.m. to 12 noon. The affected area is highlighted in yellow on the map below.

This outage is required to safely connect a new construction site.

Qulliq Energy Corporation (QEC) has received interim ministerial approval to implement the Independent Power Producer (IPP) program and will initially be accepting applications for the technical feasibility studies for the IPP program, subject to the following conditions:

Planned Power Outage in Rankin Inlet

Qulliq Energy Corporation (QEC) would like to inform the residents of Rankin Inlet that there will be a planned, community-wide power outage on Sunday, August 28, from 6 to 10 a.m.

This outage is required to safely make repairs and upgrades to a section of the distribution system. This work is expected to significantly improve reliability for the community.
